I'd be lying if I said this looked good to me. Who the fuck asked for a Devil May Cry reboot? I know I didn't...Simply put, the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it" and Capcom is doing the exact opposite. They should be taking cues from the Street Fighter IV model of sequel: combine elements of the old with the new while moving the franchise forward technologically and concerning the narrative. I don't want a game with a "western feel" when the series has largely been a take on over-the-top stylized action. The west sucks at that as evidenced by our shitty Resident Evil movies.
And we don't need a fucking prequel! We already have one in Devil May Cry 3, and it's the best game in the series. This is an insult to it...

If you were a fan, then you'd want some fucking continuity which trailer doesn't promise in any way. Everything about this new "DMC" is pissing all over the previous games.
Love or hate it, at least Devil May Cry 4 took place in the same continuity while building onto what was already there. This throws everything out INCLUDING all of the unanswered questions from the series up to this point. Fuck this! Nobody asked for fucking reboot...

I haven't played the demo, but it seems that the very thing that turned you off to it (ie: Post apocalyptic version of Journey to the West) is the same thing that draws me to it.

First question: Why the fuck this this REALLY need to be rebooted?
Although i despise Dante's new look(ChocolatePretzel already described it perfectly), It still has the over the top action, which is why i play the games in the first place. And if it succeeds at that, then I'll still play it.
