If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Here's a scene from director Clint Eastwoods' 2003 dramatic masterpiece of a film...'Mystic River', which earned both Sean Penn (leading) & Tim Robbins (supporting) Oscar gold. The small clip below shows a stressed Jimmy Markum (Sean Penn) as he resists the police on ruling out the possibility that his daughter is dead while he confronts Boston detective and long time friend Sean (Kevin Bacon) on the matter.
This clip really isn't much of a spoiler to those who haven't seen the film just yet. So take a look and tell us what you think about this intense scene by these two fine actors.
Mystic River was a well-crafted film. My trouble was, I had figured out the ending (the guilty party) rather early in the film. They dropped hints that were just too strong. A good movie, though.
I liked the performance Sean Penn gave us, but I loved the one that Marcia Gay Harden offered us. The movie was good, not great, at least for me.
