I went into an electrical store at lunch yesterday and walked out with a PS3. Now this could mean one of two things. Either those Skyrim ads contain subliminal messages or this is the onset of a bit of manic spending.

So, to all the blu-ray watchers, what are some titles that someone really needs in their collection? Whether it's for the special features, great visuals, or some other reason you'd like to mention let me know what you think I should be keeping an eye out for.

Congratulations, Lab Rat, you have just become part of the Borg Collective and you didn't even know it.

I collect mostly Criterion stuff now. The best Blu Ray that I own from them is probably Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...

Fantasia is incredible (visually) on Blu-Ray....that might be my #1 recommendation

Baraka is also great because well... it's Baraka

i still haven't gotten round to getting myself a bluray player or PS3 but when i bought black swan it was a triple play so technically it's my first one, having said that my first official bluray purchase will be the original 'the day the earth stood still'

wasn't sure how black and white would hold up in this format but a friend bought it and so far has only shown me the briefest of snippets from it BUT it looks fuckin' amazing so I MUST HAVE MY OWN ONE \../

Lord of the rings extended trilogy!
Other than that, I'd say Leon and some underwater imax shit, looks real smooth on a nice telly with bluray

Some of these have probably been mentioned already, but these are ones I have in my collection, and have really enjoyed. :)

Lord of the Rings: Extended Trilogy edition

WALL-E: 2 Disc Edition

Toy Story 1, 2, 3
