I played the multiplayer beta and it was pretty fun, its like Modern Warfare and Battlefield mixed together. Mid level maps and yeah the kill streak system is almost like MW2 but had more variety. So far the game does look pretty decent and probably might gamefly this and check it out.
Ok, I got this beta code without even reserving the game (so special.)
I wasn't surprised it ripped-off BC2, because DICE made it and MW2, because fast-paced FPS is on the rage, so don't expect much. That's the MP, but the cool thing here is that in the game there are 2 different game modes in the works and we haven't yet experienced the campaign yet. This will be a good chance to experience hence the audiences' disappointment with the the multiplayer. Personally, I like the multiplayer. It's well balanced, plus you have to work for your killstreak prizes if you want one, which feels more rewarding unlike the greedy players of MW2. I am really looking forward to the single-players engine. I really want the feel of the shady story of the tier one's short comings and adventures. At least it's based on real events, unlike the multi million dollar hollywood bullshit that is MW2.
Another plus is that they'll have an hd-remake of medal of honor: frontlines with the game. Kind of like MW2 with the COD1 voucher code, except you don't have to pay an extra 20 bucks
While i was reading your comment my view stuck on the hd-remake and a few miliseconds before i read Frontlines i was thinking wow are they really gonna remake Allied Assault cause that is THE best ww2 shooter, but sadly it's not AA but frontlines :(
Personally, i think that Treyarch is one of the better developers in the FPS industry. That and DICE is starting to rise. Black Ops is a buy for me, cause MW2 was a monstrosity in the MP. Another thing is that Treyarch is hitting on under-radar territory. Instead of going to the WW2 or the modern warfare route, they decided to go to the better variety of wars in the Cold War if you haven't already known.
Plus, Treyarch listens to the fans. That's how they got CTF in and those annoyin' ass dogs in World at War.
I remember back when Medal of Honor was pretty much the dominate FPS game around, it's nice to see the franchise getting back up on its feet. I think Call of Duty is done, with the guys at Infinity Ward gone, I can only see it going downhill from now on.
The FPS genre is getting too much attention, it should be placed in the sidelines for once and let other games get the hype. Just to prove that the 360 isn't completely dependent on it.
I hated the old Medal of Honor games. There was really nothing to keep my interest. I don't remember why I disliked them as much as I did (thinking back towards the playstation 1 days) but something about those games just felt boring or very very unrealistic (I can't remember which)
The new game, doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't mean it's going to be a great game either. However, it IS made by EA, and EA have been putting out some classic titles lately. So hopefully, this keeps that streak going.
Then again, I'm absolutely sick of First Person Shooters...they're all the damn same now.
