No, don't mistake this for a duplicate of "The Bad Movie That You Love" .
This is about bad movies that you refuse to admit are terrible even though the evidence is blatantly stacked high.
As for me, I will probably remain in denial until I die about Van Helsing being a sucky movie. Perhaps it's just that I grew up watching it at the age of 12 and was too stupid to notice that it was bad and the first impression stuck with me- but I will never, ever say that the movie was terrible. I myself don't even know why, but I just can't and won't.
Star trek V: the final frontier. It was my first star trek film and watched it all the time when I was younger. I understand a lot of the neagative things said about it but I just can't bring myself to call it a bad movie. I guess that's deep denial...
Something must obviously be blocking my normal objectivity. Serenity is one of the best science fiction movies of the decade, and should be loved and adored by all. It has no flaws, and oozes charm, wit, bad ass action, while maintaining extremely accurate to real physics, and a exceptionally good story, that completely ties it to previous works, while not requiring previous knowledge from new comers.
To be honest, I'm always in denial about bad sequels. I used to be in denial that Terminator 3 wasn't as good as T2. I also used to defend Spidey 3. I have trouble accepting that some sequels are just bad.
