Film Endings
Question: What ending(s) has/have most caught your eye? Just popped up in my mind, and thought it would be a good discussion point. As well as the film, endings need to make sure they round off a film in a good way, because otherwise that just ruins the whole film. So, what do you think? I choose two particular films:
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (I never knew)
Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows (Need to read the books)
Doesn't have to be a good ending, just something that stuck in your mind for a particular reason.

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World because it is astoundingly hysterical and it sums up the epic comedy nicely.
The Dark Knight because it was emotional
Lawrence of Arabia because there is a sense of forebooding and sadness about Arabia and its future as a country.

There's a few....
Aguirre The Wrath of God has perhaps the creepiest ending I have seen.
M... Just listen to the final words the lady says...
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is a close second with that.
Stanley Kubrick's The Killing has a superb ending. I thought the movie was ok, but the final 10 minutes are incredible.
Bridge on the River Kwai has me on the edge of my seat every time I see it.

Caligari remains one of the most disturbing endings in history for me.

Clockwork Orange and The Prestige both end on the creepiest images in existence.
I love Coen Brothers endings, particularly Burn After Reading.
And of course Once Upon a time in the west, for that music.

Any particular one? I'd love to see Burn After Reading. Who has that got in it, because I recognised it earlier.
My Dad showed us a few clips of Clockwork Orange, and it looked disturbing. Especially to my Mum. She likes light-hearted comedies, but she has seen other stuff. I still might want to watch it though.
My brother's taught me a lot about movies. He takes a good approach to different sorts of movies, particularly horror movies. He got me Jaws, The Birds and the remake of Psycho. Funnily enough, when I told him I wanted to keep an open mind about certain movies and that I wanted to embrace and widen onto other genres, he was extremely interested. Of course I know I have to maintain my own well-being and health, but I look up to him particularly as he is 19 years old and I am 16 years old.
So you see, I really enjoy looking at variety. It's the experience we get from watching all sorts of movies.
