If it's crap ... We'll tell you
What is your favorite film franchise? It can be it two films, or three, or more in a series. Which film in that series is your favorite?
I for one, did like the whole Pirates of the Caribbean series. I agree that disney should stop making installments for every film that makes money, but I like the others. They to me were just really cool, however the fourth wasn't too exciting. I will say the the first is my overall favorite, I felt it was more original in its story.
It'd be between the Batman and Star Wars franchises.
Batman's actually been consistently great. The 60s movie, based on the TV show, is lots of fun and it a great reflection of its time. The first two Burton films are excellent. Forever is fun. B&R is hilarious, albeit in an ironic way. Nolan's films are great.
Although plenty of people hate them, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the prequels. Seeing them in theaters for the first time was a seminal experience of my life and added to my developing interest of film. Of course the best is the original trilogy, but they're also the greatest film trilogy of all time, so how could the prequels compare?
That shit needs a new entry.
Friday the 13th.
Big Tit Lactations 1~4
Godfather (well, parts 1 and 2 anyway)
James Bond series, even the really crappy ones (and yes, there are plenty)
Original Star Wars trilogy (of course)
Die Hard (1-3, mostly 1 and 3... but 2 can be fun at times)
Clint Eastwood's "Man with no Name" films (While not directly a franchise per se, they are kind of a series of movies)
Pretty much it for "franchise films".... After that it's more of a "genre film" that gets me excited.
As far as consistency goes, the Toy Story trilogy is the only series off the top of my head where every film is great.
