And Japan said "I've seen better directed scat videos." Usually trailers have something to grip the viewer, often with breathtaking visuals and some story hooks to pique the watcher's interest. The only breathtaking going on here is how the trailer sucks out loud if those were some of the highlights of the movie.
Speaking as a mutt with some Japanese background and also having been there a bit...they tend to not like it when foreign directors take the source material and use it as formulaic toilet paper. That is ironic, since DB is highly formulaic to the point of recycling its own plot devices incessantly, so it shouldn't be too hard to recognize and follow that formula, right?
Wrong.
American version of Gojira, anyone? Well, that just proved you can add in all sorts of special effects to rip off a name (plus roar) and beloved franchise without having anything else of the storyline and fool some ignorant suckers who didn't get anything of the poorly translated originals, while at the same time "dedicating" the movie to the deceased producer of the originals as a metaphorical crap on his grave.
I don't believe it will quite work with DBE.
This is perhaps one of the few movies outside of Uwe Boll's direction that requires this site to adopt a new rating below "Some Ole Bullsh*t".

These clips look mediocre at best. I don't think it'll be the worst thing you'll ever see in your life. But I do agree I think it'll be a box office flop.
