Amy Adams to play Janis Joplin?

So apparently Amy Adams is going to play Janis Joplin. I don't know about you guys, but I don't know if she's right for the role. I guess it's all her goody-goody roles that I just don't see her as the drunken, drug addled blues singer. Personally, I say let Dana Fuchs do it. She did it on Broadway in Love, Janis and she sang like Janis in Across the Universe.
