I don't have Cable in Toronto, but I still get my TV goodness from box sets. It's lovely...no commercials, no having to wait every week for the next episode. And you get commentaries and all that goodness.
My favorites are:
South Park (The commentary alone is worth it)
Pen and Teller's Bullshit!
So this is where everyone talks about the shows that you like so much, you shell out $20-$100 per set
Batman: TAS volumes 1-4
Superman: TAS volumes 1-3
Justice League volumes 1-2
Justice League Unlimited volumes 1-2
Batman Beyond volumes 1-3
The Flash complete series
The Office seasons 1-3
My Name is Earl seasons 1-2
Clerks The Animated Series
Heroes Season 1
Arrested Development - The Complete Series
Flight of the Conchords
Scrubs seasons 1-2
Smallville 1, 2, 3, 6 (missing 4 and 5)
I still need to pick up the rest of Scrubs and I'm eventually going to get Lost, Battlestar, Firefly, Venture Bros. and Pushing Daisies when I get the money. And one day I plan on picking up the Muppet show.
Battlestar Galatica. I only got to see the pilot. Later I saw season one finale and was on edge of seat. Im just getting around to watching season one.
I watched all 6 seasons of 24 in 3 weeks
I rediscoverd William Shatner on Boston Legal.
I might actually watch The sopranos/deadwood and rome who knows. The dvd box set is the dest thing ever.
Dude, if you dont have the 1st and 2nd seasons of It's always sunny in Philadelphia, do yourself a favor and pick it up. It's probably the most underated and funniest shows on t.v. It's a buch of losers who own an unsuccessfull bar in Philly, and all they do is get drunk and do stupid and crazy shit, it;s awesome. Did i mention it has Danny Devito as well?
